About Dr. Anderson

Dr. Scott Anderson received his Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from University of California – Davis. He then completed his dental school education at the Oral Roberts School of Dental Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Anderson then practiced general dentistry for a year in Tulsa before returning to California. He completed his orthodontic specialty training at the University of California in San Francisco in 1989. In 1999, he finished a very elite and specialized course, which involves a focus on Jaw Function and Facial Esthetics given by the world-famous Ron Roth. He graduated from this course with an even deeper love for the science of orthodontics.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Fairfield, California. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Deborah, and they have three children and two cats. Dr. Anderson has a strong commitment to his family, and brings strong family values to his practice. He is involved in his local church choir and enjoys volunteering his time to help out the youth group.

About Dr. Portalupi

Dr. Richard Portalupi grew up in the small lumber town of Arcata on the coast of Northern California. He attended local public schools, then Woodside Priory near Palo Alto for 9th grade, finished high school in Arcata, and then went on to the University of Santa Clara for his bachelor's degree. From there he went on to dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

While serving as a part-time clinical instructor at the UCSF Dental School TMJ Clinic, he developed an interest in orthodontics and decided to go back to school for specialty training. In 1989 he graduated from the UOP Dental School with an Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and a Master's Degree in Science. At UOP he received the Frederick West Leadership Award. In 1989 he started his orthodontic practice in Woodland.

Dr. Portalupi has a never ending thirst for learning and takes over 200 hours of continuing education in orthodontics and practice management every year to improve his skills and abilities in serving his patients.

Dr. Portalupi is one of the few "Board Certified Orthodontists" in the area. This means that he has taken a special series of tests, continuing education courses and will continue to present patient cases for certification and recertification to The American Board of Orthodontics. Less than 25% of orthodontist nationwide has successfully passed the ABO certification requirements.

He has served on and been a member of several professional and service organizations, including Woodland Rotary, American Association of Orthodontics, Yolo County Dental Health Foundation and the Roth Williams International Orthodontic Society. He has served as President of the Napa/Solano Dental Society.

He is happily married with seven children. His interests include traveling, hiking, bicycling, working out at the gym, photography and studying the Italian language.

Diana

Diana is our Scheduling/Financial Coordinator. She has been with Creekside Orthodontics since 2007. Diana and her husband were married in Washington in 2005. She believes she has the Best Husband in the whole world. Diana has many hobbies and interests, like collecting pressed pennies, and currently is a voracious reader. Diana enjoys the life God has given her and tries to make the most of every minute. Diana’s singing, positive attitude and fun personality make her a valuable asset to Creekside Orthodontics.

Elisa

Elisa is our Treatment Coordinator. She has been with Creekside Orthodontics since 2007. Elisa enjoys camping and being outdoors in the sun. She loves the beach, especially the Gulf of Mexico. She likes to run and when she has the time she enjoys whipping up a recipe or two in the kitchen. Elisa and her boyfriend share a beautiful daughter, who is the love of their lives. Elisa has nine siblings, all from the same family! She enjoys working for Creekside Orthodontics and learning new skills.

Tania

Tania is our Front Office and Marketing Coordinator. Tania is an RDA and has 9 years dental experience. She has been with Creekside Orthodontics since 2007. Tania enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to cook and try new recipes. She also enjoys gardening. Tania and her husband were married in 1998 and have three beautiful children, and a Boxer puppy, Maximus. Tania has a fun loving personality and is a wonderful addition to our team.

Nina

Nina is our Clinical Coordinator. Nina has been with Creekside Orthodontics since 1997. Nina is a RDA and has 14 years of orthodontic experience. She leads our orthodontic team with a strong work ethic. Nina enjoys many things; she loves to cook, Bar B Que, and relax in the sun. She loves to travel; visiting her friends all over the United States, Mexico is another one of her favorite destinations. She lives with her son Eric and their Pit Bull dog Zeus. Nina loves helping the patients and learning the many things she has learned here over the years.

Margaret

Margaret is a RDA and one of our Clinical Assistants with 20 years dental experience. She has been with Creekside Orthodontics since 1995. Margaret has many interests including making jewelry, digital photography, and singing. She also enjoys reading and playing Guitar Hero with her children. Margaret and her husband were married in 1990. They have two children a daughter and son. Margaret loves working and having fun with our Creekside Orthodontic patients.

Charity

Charity is an RDA and our Laboratory Technician. She started with Creekside Orthodontics in 2006. Her hobbies are many including-working on Classic cars, riding Motorcycles, Camping, Traveling, Sewing and Photography. Charity and her husband were married in 2001. They have been all over the world. She has been to 8 different countries and lived in the Azores for 2 years. While in the Azores they acquired their big fluffy cat, Chopper. Charity enjoys learning new things and working with the patients.

Kassie

Kassie is an RDA and one of our Clinical Assistants. She started working with Creekside Orthodontics in 2007. She has been in dentistry for 3 years. Kassie is the only left handed person in our office. Kassie hobbies include wakeboarding in the summer and riding Quads at the sand dunes in the winter. She loves spending time with her firefighter boyfriend Kris and her family. Kassie enjoys working with the patients and loves her job.

Jen

Jen is an RDA with 9 years orthodontic experience. She is one of our Clinical Assistants and started with Creekside Orthodontics in 2008. Jen enjoys reading many different books. She also likes to cook. Jen enjoys shoe shopping; always searching for a cute pair to add to her collection. Both of Jens parents are artists and live in Southern California. She has the best boyfriend ever and is proudly owned by two cute cats. Jen loves orthodontics and working for Creekside Orthodontics.

Deborah

Deborah has been a part of Creekside Orthodontics since its inception. She is married to Dr. Anderson and is mother to their three children. Deborah gets to travel to many different countries to assist in Orthodontic Program Training. She is an active member in her church. Deborah currently is responsible for our payroll and keeping track of employee records. She is always willing to help out when needed and you will see her at various office functions helping behind the scenes.

Amy

Amy is a RDA and has 21 years dental experience. Amy started with Creekside Orthodontics in 2004. Amy and her husband were married in 1991. They have two children. Amy enjoys spending time with her family, their two American Quarter Horses, and Rottweiler dog, Denali. Amy enjoys working for Creekside Orthodontics because both Dr Anderson and Dr Portalupi are family oriented. As employers they understand the demands placed on working mothers and are very flexible.

What Makes Our Staff Different?

Our orthodontic team consists of highly qualified professionals with years of experience. We are one of the few teams in California to have licensed assistants. We are proud to say that seven out of eight people in our office are licensed by the state of California to practice clinical dentistry along side Dr. Anderson.
